With the renewed energies of Summer Solstice, All Is Possible...
Take time to really listen to and honor yourself--body, sensations, emotions, longings. Stay open to the possibility that what you long for may be realized in positive and unexpected ways.
Brad and I had been working a lot and had not taken a vacation in a long time. We took time to pause and become really present with how we felt--tense, tired, frustrated--and that we deeply longed for quiet time away. Not able to see how or when this could happen, we stayed open to the possibility. Within weeks, I was gifted a women's retreat day in Half Moon Bay and Brad was invited to help facilitate a workshop at Esalen, I was invited to join a weekend of group earth honoring rituals on Mt Diablo, then a few days of work and R&R in the Harbin Hot Springs area.
Brad's birthday was coming up, we were more refreshed but still needed really quiet time away together. I heard about a hot springs off I-5, and the next day we stepped off the grid for 24-hrs into this wide open landscape. Overcome with a sense of freedom and spaciousness, and slowed down to a snail's pace by 106F heat and wind, we felt more settled, grounded and connected with ourselves and the earth than we had in a long time.

Slow Down, Disconnect from Distractions, Re-Connect to Yourself and the Environment. Notice what feels good.
Gentle walks, stillness, mesmerizing rock formations, playful tumbleweed, wide-eyed baby owl watching us in our campsite, expansive starry skies, baby owls calling out for their mothers all night long from high up in the trees accompanied by the grand chorus of vibrant green frogs defied their tiny size. Soothing yoga to rhythm of the landscape and warm breeze further revived us.

Allow wisdom and inspiration to emerge from within you and from your surroundings.
Rabbit demonstrated Total Presence, stretched out on his belly hugging the earth, relaxed yet aware and available to respond with clear instincts. Not stuck in high rev anxiety fight/flight, overwhelm and numbing out like many humans. What an exquisite teacher! Rabbit stayed close and eye-gazed with us for the longest time--our hearts melted, as did any remaining stress soaking for hours in the tubs at magical and very low key Mercey Hot Springs--only a few hours south of Palo Alto!
If you are feeling frustrated, tired, tense:
With the renewed energies of Summer Solstice, All Is Possible... a perfect time to renew yourself by spending time in the great outdoors, enjoying fun joyful activities, slowing down and taking time to meditate, contemplate, rest, gain insights, read, journal, plant seeds, and connect with the gifts of our life-giving Sun.
